From their artist project, acoustic albums & tours, OceanLab, Tranquility Base, JODA (Jono Grant & Darren Tate), and Paavo’s P.O.S, among other things.Ībove & Beyond will headline The Gorge Amphitheatre on July 21-23 for the biggest iteration yet of their Group Therapy Weekender festival, alongside label stars from Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, and Reflections. Let’s not forget that the GRAMMY Award-nominated Above & Beyond isn’t the only project Jono, Tony, and Paavo have been working on, but that’s nothing new. 1 EP, set for release on May 25, “500” embodies all of the key elements, emotions, and vibe that you’ve come to expect from Above & Beyond. Included on their forthcoming Tranquility Base Vol. The song pays homage to their recent celebratory ABGT 500 show at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. Returning to their Tranquility Base roots, Above & Beyond release their new single “500” today (May 12) through their Anjunabeats label. You can't go wrong either way as everyone else has suggested, but being at the Milestones and re-listening to those sets never gets old.Above & Beyond release new single “500” in honor of ABGT 500 at LA’s Banc of California Stadium as part of forthcoming Tranquility Base Vol. In the coming years the Weekender should return and you can hit that up. Milestone shows are once in a lifetime and taking advantage of one in the US where you're based would be my suggestion. The logistics and cost for the Gorge will be much more IMO. Sounds like cost is definitely part of your decision making, so 500 (if it's in LA or at least another bigger city) is the choice for you. Someone's already said it, but how Anjuna does trance followed by deep is just wonderful. The highlight for all three of these besides A&B were the deep days. It sucks the venue was awful, but the Deep show and the music alone made it still awesome overall.ģ50 in Prague was absolutely fantastic. The setup at the convention center was awful but the A&B set and the music they dropped was insanely good. I'm hoping someday it will be beat, but the experience was unreal.ģ00 was very meh the first night. Gorge combined with milestone show cannot be beat. 250 was the best experience of my life, hands down. Definitely going to 500 this year but not doing the Weekender. I’ve seen them more than any other act, but never at shows as big as ABGT or Weekender.Ģ50 at the Gorge was my first Milestone, then went to 300 in HKG and 350 in Prague. I definitely want to plan a trip to one of these shows. If that’s the case, 500 might be a more unique experience. I also wonder if A&B is going to continue having Weekenders every two years. I feel like The Gorge would be a great “last camping festival” to attend, but I love seeing electronic shows in arenas and stadiums. I’m sure it’s quieter at something like Weekender than, say, Electric Forest, but I’m starting to respect sleep a bit more now. My main issue with camping festivals is I seem to get sick every time due to lack of sleep. I feel like I can do festivals, but I’m closer to the end of that era than I am to the beginning of it. I’m still hoping they eventually play another show there. Manhattan is one of the easiest trips to plan for someone on the east coast, and I’ve always wanted to see a show there. I was hoping they would get back to MSG in 2022. I’ve wanted to attend one since I saw the reactions to 250. It’s great to see you write that the milestone shows are that memorable. for ABGT500 (assuming that's where it is), which would you choose, and why? Which event is seen as a larger event? For context, I've never been to a Weekender or an ABGT milestone set. If you had to choose between traveling to The Gorge for Weekender or traveling to L.A. I am probably buying a ticket to see A&B, Seven Lions, Qrion, and Luttrell (among others) at Project Glow in DC next month (drivable distance and I love the overall lineup), but I would love to attend an event curated by A&B in 2022. Financially, I don't feel I could do it twice in one year. is huge, and flying to the other side is expensive. I'm in the U.S., but I'm on the opposite coast from where Weekender is, and where ABGT500 is likely taking place. I've seen them four times now, most recently at Red Rocks last year, and I'd love to take it to the next level by attending one of these marquee events. AnjunaFam! I've been into Above & Beyond since seeing them on the 'We Are All We Need' 2015 tour.
